The Faculty of Engineering of the Future University, Sudan is dedicated to producing professionals who are critical thinkers and problem solvers. Its task is to develop young engineers with the best that science and technology can offer in a manner that can transform them into responsible professionals.

Engineering programs of the Future University-Sudan produce worldclass engineers who can synthesize a broad range of disciplinary knowledge while keeping the systemic nature of the problem within their view. As we face the challenges that come our way, it will be the engineers with their critical and analytical minds that can transform our dreams into reality.

The Faculty of Engineering provides a venue for students to verify and reinforce theoretical engineering concepts. The laboratory set-up resembles a real–life engineering workplace where the student is expected to integrate diversified knowledge with a range of handson procedures in the constructive synthesis of any activity. The handson experience of the engineering students enables them to become confident when later faced with actual situations.The engineering laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art apparatus and powered by leading makers of engineering laboratory equipment.

Vision and Mission

We aim to become a center of excellence in engineering education and a research center for cuttingedge technology. It is our task to educate future engineering professionals who can create a better world through the application of mathematics, science and technology. Specifically, graduates of the engineering programs can:

  • Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering.
  • Design and conduct experiments, as well as analyse and interpret data.
  • Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs.
  • Function well as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
  • Understand professional and ethical responsibility.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context.

  • Use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.


Admission Requirements


To be admitted in any degree program of the Faculty of Engineering, the student must have one of the following certificates:

  • Sudan School Certificate (academic-technical-commercial)
  • Equivalent School Certificate from Arab Countries
  • Egyptian Secondary School Certificates and any other foreign certificates

Admission of student percentage of the grades or scores attained in the following subjects: Arabic language, Religious Studies, English, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and subjects like Computer Science or Engineering Science.


B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Engineering

This is a 10-semester program designed to prepare future engineers who are grounded in appropriate knowledge, skills, and behavior with solid foundation in both computer software and hardware. Having developed their analytical skills and practical design knowledge, they are expected to contribute to the development of computer-based system and technologies to fuel the world economy.

B.Sc. (Hons) in Electronics Engineering

This is a 10-semester program designed to prepare future engineers who can take a lead in the different electronics industry like industrial electronics, electro-optics/ photonics/opto-electronics, electro-magnetics, avionics, aerospace, navigational and military applications, broadcast signal processing, networking, and semiconductor fabrication.

B.Sc. (Hons) in Mechatronics Engineering

The Mechatronics Engineering program is a 10-semester curriculum designed to produce engineers who are concerned on the design of computer controlled electromechanical systems. It includes robotics and automation systems, neural prosthetics, micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), and many other leading-edge technologies. Graduates of the program are expected to become mechatronics specialist and roboticists in a variety of industries.

B.Sc. (Hons) in Biomedical Engineering

This program prepares engineers to apply engineering principles and techniques to the medical field. With a strong foundation in the biological sciences and engineering, biomedical engineering graduates of Future University develop medical instruments, prostheses, diagnostic devices, medical computer systems, joint and valve replacements, and numerous other inventions that are revolutionizing health care.
